I wrote this song while dipping my feet in the Cache la Poudre River in Ft. Collins, CO. 2019 was a big year of traveling for me, with two major hitch hiking trips, a tour and a half, two weeks spent in San Diego, finally getting the fuck out of Denver and getting settled in Laramie, WY, among a bunch of other little trips here and there. Resting my feet in the water was a nice reprieve from all the time I spent walking on them this past year, and I think the song captures my sentiments perfectly.
